The Performing Arts Market in Seoul is a wonderful opportunity to see the best of Korean theatre, dance, music and to start conversations about international co-production and collaboration. It was a great series of events and panel discussions. The overwhelming question in Korea is how to reach new audiences for live performance and this question is not being asked directly but clearly present in many other places I have visited. If we want wider audiences then the shows must change and our approach to making them must change.
