Pippa Bailey
Pippa spent her early career in Australia as performer, director and TV reporter, then came to the UK in 1998 to work as Artistic Associate on The Museum Of – a series of temporary museums on London’s South Bank. She then became Artistic Director at Oxford House in 2001, a new build art centre extension to a community centre in East London. Since 2006 Pippa has been employed as a consultant and freelance producer. From 2007 she produced the Total Theatre Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe and was an associate director for The World Famous - company of innovative pyrotechnicians. In 2013 Pippa moved back to Australia and took up the role of Senior Producer at Performing Lines, an innovative company of producers and working with a cluster of cutting edge artists (MAPS NSW). Since returning to Australia Pippa has discovered new interest in BiDiNG TiME, with increasing need to explore new models.
The following artists have been involved in the long development of the BiDiNG TiME project:
David White – Musical Director
David was spotted during his early career by Cameron Mackintosh, who was to later offer him the position of Musical Director on the world’s most successful musical, Les Misérables. At the top of his profession ever since, David has been a favourite amongst the world’s finest directors and choreographers, attracting large-scale new works. World premieres include Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, Claude-Michel Schoenberg’s Martin Guerre, The Witches of Eastwick, Killing Rasputin, The Far Pavilions and Porgy & Bess. David’s interest in global music has thrived through a unique collaboration with popular Asian composer and music Director Kuljit Bhamra, culminating in The Ku-Da-Mix Orchestra, an 18-piece ensemble.
Lizzie Clachan - Designer
Lizzie Clachan is an architect of theatrical space. One of the founder members of London based theatre collective shunt, Lizzie has created design and installation for all of the companies shows and also worked as a designer for the Young Vic, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Bristol Old Vic – to name a few. She has designed her first opera ‘Bliss’ with acclaimed international conductor Simone Young in Vienna.
Mike Robert – pyrotechnician
Mike is responsible for the overall management and development of the world famous company and works variously as producer, director and pyrotechnician. With a background in physics & photography, he discovered the joys of black powder in 1994, and hasn’t looked back. A certified workaholic, he occasionally escapes his desk to load a truck or ‘burn some stuff’.
