First showing at Brit School
On Monday students at Brit School on the BiDiNG TiME journey delivered the first showing of work they have been doing on BidiNG TiME. The students are responding to the story and themes, creating physical theatre for different parts of the journey which has been divided into sections. Imaginative use of objects included cups, umbrellas and cases enabled non naturalistic scenes to come to life. The groups produced some imaginative, touching and funny scenes, a brilliantly exciting start for their original interpretation of this story. Most rewarding was an inherent understanding that BiDiNG TiME isn't really a love story, although its includes various romantic relationships. Thyme was interpreted by many of the young women and there was an interesting focus on eco warrior Jake as the environmental issue was clearly significant. Directed by Emma Baggott, the show will be on in January. More information to follow.
